The CinéSpots' CEO and board of directors have extensive start-up and Fortune 500 experience. CinéSpots is proud to have attracted these very successful professionals and is excited about growing a company that benefits from their keen perspective.

CEO

Pete Abrams - Pete has 20+ years of experience developing, marketing and selling high-tech IT solutions. Pete spent his first 10 years in the business at Sun Microsystems in sales, product marketing, international sales and strategic marketing. He then dove into the startup world joining Palo Alto Products (acquired by Flextronics), 3ware (acquired by AMCC), Ejasent (acquired by Veritas) and NetContinuum (acquired by Barracuda Networks).

Board of Directors

Gene Banman was the CEO of NetContinuum, an internet security appliance manufacturer. Banman led NetContinuum's 100 worldwide employees, including 45 in India for 3 1/2 years. Previously, Gene worked at Sun Microsystems for 15 years where he rose from Product Marketing, to District Sales Manager, to President of Sun Japan, and finally to the General Manager of the Desktop business.

Deepak Bhagat is the Founder of Vikroon Systems. He has over 25+ years of executive leadership experience in creating and delivering on Technology Vision, Product Strategy, and Engineering Development of Industry-leading, mission-critical Data-Center-Infrastructure Systems Software and Systems Products at Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard, which have contributed to multiple-billions of dollars in revenues for these companies. Deepak has held CEO/Board/Advisory positions in startups such as Centrata, Niksun, Metamata and YuMe Networks. Deepak holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Kanpur, and an MS from Case Western Reserve University. He is the recipient of prestigious IIT Kanpur Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Jack Faraone is a semi-retired Silicon Valley entrepreneur and has been active at CinéSpots as a consultant, a member of its advisory board and a director since the company's inception. He has been the co-founder and CEO of several high tech startups including Gridware, a publisher of distributed resource management software. Faraone led the effort to sell Gridware to Sun Microsystems in 2000. The company's product has since been re-named Sun Grid Engine. He began his career as a design engineer at Intel and has held engineering, application engineering and marketing management positions at IBM, Intel, Rolm, Zitel, Data Systems Design and Sun Microsystems. He has been a director of the Silicon Valley Taxpayers Association, Coyote Valley Alliance for Smart Planning and the Multibus Manufacturers Group. He has earned a BS in electrical engineering and computer science and MBA degrees from Santa Clara University and an MSEE from Stanford.

Carl Swirsding worked for 23 years in Silicon Valley and Europe for software & hardware technology companies in various marketing management roles. Most notably, nine years at Sun Microsystems and five years at Symantec. Carl has provided guidance to various start-ups as an angel investor and consultant to Signio that sold to VeriSign for 1.4B. He has served as a Member Board of Directors of Application Arts and The Hendrix Foundation.
